Die Entwicklung der Geburtenrate, die Zunahme der Lebenserwartung, sowie die Änderung der Wanderungsbewegung haben schließlich zur Folge, dass die Gesellschaft drastisch schnell veraltert. Im Ruhestand sind dann durch die ständigen Kürzungen des Sozialsystems starke Einbußen, welche auf die leeren Kassen in der gesetzlichen Rentenversicherung zurückzuführen sind, hinzunehmen. Der Generationenvertrag, bei welchem die erwerbstätige Bevölkerung mit ihren Beiträgen für die aktuellen Rentenleistungen aufkommt und diesbezüglich selbst derartige Ansprüche erwirbt, gelingt nicht mehr in vollem Umfang und führt zu Einbußen bei den Rentenempfängern. Bei Betrachtung dieser Entwicklungen wird es immer wichtiger, bereits rechtzeitig für den Lebensabend vorzu-sorgen, um die steigende Versorgungslücke, welche die Differenz zwischen dem letzten monatlichen Nettoeinkommen und der gesetzlichen Altersrente darstellt, so gering wie möglich zu halten. Beim Aufbau einer zusätzlichen privaten Altersvorsorge sind unterschiedliche Komponenten zu beachten. Wichtige Kriterien dabei sind die Laufzeit und die richtige Auswahl der unterschiedlichen Anlageklassen, um später im Alter auf ein entsprechendes Vermögen zurückgreifen zu können. Die Investition in ein weiteres Standbein für den Ruhestand sollte zielgerichtet, ausgewogen und rentabel sein. Zu sicherheitsorientierte Anlageformen jedoch bringen meist nur magere Erträge und führen nicht selten dazu, dass wegen der niedrigen Verzinsungen über die Gesamtlaufzeit sehr viel auf der Strecke bleibt, was sich letzten Endes deutlich im Gesamtkapital wiederspiegelt. Deshalb ist eine vernünftige Anlageinvestition, die sowohl rentabel als auch langfristig sicher ist von Vorteil, wenn es darum geht, das gewünschte Ziel „Altersvorsorge“ zu erreichen. Historische Aufzeichnungen zeigen, dass Anlageklassen wie Aktien, ein sehr hohes Ertragspotential bieten und lukrativ vor allem für den Langfristinvestor sind. Kurzfristig gesehen bergen diese Anteilspapiere zwar ein hohes Risiko, welches aber auf einen Zeitraum von 10 Jahren oder länger durch eine vernünftige breite Streuung des Investments größtenteils ausgeglichen werden kann.
